Remains of late prehistoric cross-dyke, visible as surviving earthworks. Dimensions - Length 0140 m Plan Form - LINEAR DITCH ABOUT 8.5M ACROSS, 0.5M DEEP & ERODED BANK ON N EDGE. RUNS SW ACROSS RIDGE WHICH RUNS N-S & BENDS TOWARDS S AT E END. STOPS ON FLAT GROUND ON CREST OF RIDGE PERHAPS BECAUSE REST OF RIDGE ORIGINALLY WOODED. PROBABLY DUG TO DEFEND A ROUTE ON RIDGE &/OR TO DEMARCATE TERRITORY (B1).
