Pair of eighteenth or early nineteenth century houses, converted into a pub in the twentieth century and known as The Crown and Anchor.
Locally listed. Formerly C18 or early C19, but substantially altered at later date. Two storeys and attic, three windows, casements. No 47 is of brick. The public house has been covered in rough cast and stucco to imitate half timbering. Two doors on left and right with window between, all beneath an elaborate architrave. No 47 is plain and formerly had a separate entrance (now bricked up following incorporation with public house). Old tile roof. Three ?five gabled dormers with casements (B1).
