18th or 19th Century milestones on A404 at Flackwell Heath, Chepping Wycombe Probable eighteenth to nineteenth century milestones on A404 at Ingledell on Common Road Flackwell Heath. Recorded as present in 2002 on Milestones Society survey website on Wycombe to Amersham route National ID number BU_ RGHT20x. Pillar shaped stone 30cm wide 30cm deep119cm high on north side of road. Inscription: centre: (20) Reading Hatfield (30): right: Amersham 6 Wycombe 1. Not recorded on current OS or County First Edition map but position estimated from aerial photography. 'One of a pair of gateposts for Ingledell. Other post National ID number BU_RGHT20y. ' [Detailed description, location and photograph] (B1). Confirmed by handwritten notes were in Bucks County Museum now in Centre for Bucks Studies " two further milestones used as gateposts at Flackwell Heath.
