Description

Nineteenth century detached house with attached stable. Recently renovated 19th century brick built house with symmetrical front façade and shallow pitched slate roof. Cements quoins and detailing to front elevation. Sliding sash windows with bay windows at ground floor level. Central doorway with decorative surround. To the left hand side of the frontage is a smaller building, probably originally a stable, joined to the main house by a wide arched opening providing covered access to the garden behind. Victoria House is a large detached building that is clearly visible in views both up and down Main Street. This is a local building of note within the Conservation Area of Akeley (B1).
