Description

19th century building, constructed on site of former manor. 19th century building, constructed on site of former manor. Large brick building with stone dressing, complex roof form and prominent decorative chimneys. Mainly mullion and transom windows with some dormers. Greatly extended to form accommodation for nursing home. Built by the Burrows family, it became the centre of Buckinghamshre lace industry during the late 19th cemtury under Miss M. E. B. Burrows. Prominent building due to scale and size of plot as well as location close to the church. This is a local building of note within the Conservation Area of Maids Moreton. (B1).
