Description

19th century Methodist Chapel now converted to medical centre. 19th century Methodist Chapel now converted to medical centre. Positioned gable onto High Street and set very short distance back from carriageway behind metal railings. Central gabled porch with flanking lancet windows, round window contained within apex of the roof. Roof is covered in slate. Buff coloured bricks have been used to provide colour contrast emphasisng door surround and quoins. Good example of late 19th century architecture in the village. The building is prominantly positioned on the corner of High Street and Harroell and makes a positive contribution due to the understanding of the social history of the village. This is a local building of note within the Conservation Area of Long Crendon. (B1).
