Description

The rendered elevations of the White Lion public house provide a visual focus to views looking east and west along the Lower Icknield Way. Prominently positioned adjacent to the canal bridge, the rendered elevations of the White Lion public house provide a visual focus to views looking east and west along the Lower Icknield Way, in both directions along the Grand Union Canal and from the centre of Marsworth village. The building is two storeys in height with extensions to the side and rear. On the principal elevation two ground floor bay windows sheltered beneath a simple tiled canopy and a cartwheel shaped window add to its individual appearance. This is a local building of note within the Conservation Area of Marsworth. (B1).
