Description

Nos. 6 & 7 are local buildings of note within the Conservation Area of Buckingham. One of the most flamboyant buildings in the street is no. 6, which although not listed is a Building of Note that contributes greatly to the character of the Conservation Area. This building has a decorative 19th century rendered elevation facing onto the street with a central doorway approached by stone steps. To either side are canted tripartite windows framed by Doric fluted pilasters supporting a cornice. The first floor windows have cills supported on corbels and there is a three light fan light above the door. The building has been rendered and incised to look like stone blocks and quoins have been created on the right hand end of the façade. No. 7 is also a Building of Note within the Conservation Area of Buckingham. (B1).
