18th or 19th Century milestone on B482 at Nuttings Wood in Marlow Probable eighteenth or nineteenth century milestone recorded as missing on Chilterns Mlestone Survey stone 26 in November on B482 at this grid reference. (B1). Recorded as present in 2003 on Milestones Society survey website on Marlow to Stokenchurch route National ID number BU_MWST03. On east side of B482 at Nutting Wood Marlow. ' In ditch between hedges snapped off at level of facet '. 42cm wide 35cm deep 95cm high. No inscription recorded. [ Detailed description, location and photograph available ] (B2). Recorded by J. K. Major in September 1973 one of three white painted square block stone milestones on B482. Inscription not always visible.' But read STOKENCHURCH 7 MARLOW 1 etc '. Parabolic cross section above. Local authority maintained. (B3). Confirmed by handwritten notes on one inch OSD map (1835) Marlow to Stokenchurch (M) route. Bucks County Museum number XLVI sheet 46 on page 5 of notes.
