18th to 19th Century milestone on A4129 in Longwick
Probable eighteenth to nineteenth century milestone present in 2003 on updated Milestones Society website on Thame to Risborough route National ID number BU_THR105. ' On well kept grass verge' on Thame Road Longwick village on south side A4195. Opposite White Gables. 33cm wide X 20cm deep X 67cm high. Inscription: centre: Risborough/ 1 1/4 / Wycombe/ 10.' Stone rather crumbly repainted well in gothic script 2003 '. [ Detailed description, location and photograh ] (B1).
Confirmed by handwritten notes on maps were in Bucks County Museum now in Centre for Bucks Studies.Under title 'J5 Milestones on Ground'.
