Description

Early nineteenth century house known as Orkney Lodge or Orkney Cottage, later divided into 3 and now 2 houses. Original house called Orkney Lodge or Orkney Cottage. At one time divided into 3 - now 2 with Orkney Cottage combined with White Place. Only the upper storey and roof can be seen over brick boundary wall. Probably built pre-1850. White painted brick. Shallow slate covered multiple roofs. 12 pane sash windows. Verandah with intricate wrought iron posts. This is a local building of note within the Conservation Area of Taplow Riverside (B1).
