Description

Single house designed in 1912 Large house on corner plot. Two storeys plus attic with two prominent chimney stacks on Vicarage Way front flanking a gabled eaves dormer with stained glass window. Each of these chimney stacks has a tiled gabled roof joining them to the main roof and hence look like dormers with stacks protruding upwards. Tile hanging, pebble dash, gables, bay and oriel windows and bracketed eaves all make for a highly decorative, even extravagant appearance. Very strong design gives the house a strong positive character despite replacement windows. Designed in 1912 by S J Prevost. This is a local building of note within the Conservation Area of Gerrards Cross Centenary. (B1).
