Description

Late 18th to early 19th century former inn known as the Fox and Hounds, now a house. Formerly the Fox and Hounds, presumably for the hunting connections. There was previously a cottage at the back which was demolished probably in the early 20th century. The original building (perhaps late C18-early C19) has recently been sympathetically extended. Plain clay tiled roofs. Colourwashed render and modillion cornice and Georgian style front door with small flat door hood on wooden brackets giving the main building a modest Georgian appearance. The garden and car park are nicely landscaped. This is a local building of note within the Conservtation Area of gerrards Cross. (B1)
