Description
Single 19th century house
Two storey detached building with brick range to the left hand side. Main building is two storeys in height with a shallow pitched gable slate roof with brick end stacks. Range to left has ground floor windows only and sits beneath a steeper pitched tile roof. The left hand range has a utilitarian character and appears to have functioned formerly as an outbuilding/barn. Main building presents a symmetrical elevation to the street with a central doorway flanked by canted bays. 2 windows to first floor. Visually prominent building within the street scene, partly due to its scale, but also to its
position located towards the front of its plot. Despite alterations to the windows, the building retains much of its former character. This is a local building of note within the Conservation Area of Padbury. (B1)
