Probable eighteenth to nineteenth century cast iron milepost on Buckingham to Brill road one mile outside Brill may be missing. Not on historic OS mapping or current OS. Should read Brill 1 Buck 13. Confirmed by handwritten notes including some field notes from 1980s under " MILE POSTS BUCKINGHAM to BRILL. ( Max Davies only )". No sign of last 2 mile posts Brill 2 Buck 12: Brill 1 Buck 13 . Illustration annotated: Metal mile posts on Buckingham to Brill road. No makers name. All similar design. Parish on top Brill on L Buckingham on R. Bench mark used but may be not milestone.
