Description

Nineteenth century former public house known as The Plough Inn, now a house. A prominently positioned 19th century building located at the junction of Main Road and Peggs Lane. Two storey brick building (now rendered/painted) which sits beneath hipped slate roof. A former public house and therefore significant within the context of the social history of the village. A 'Local Building of Note' within the Conservation Area of Buckland (B1). Licensed over 50 years in 1872, The Plough was de-licensed in the early 1960s (B2).
