Early twentieth century Rothschild Estate building.
Two storey detached building. With steeply pitched gabled roof laid in clay tiles. Brick end stack to right hand (facing) gable and one mid ridge stack. Ridgeline runs parallel with the carriageway. Eaves line is broken by two gabled dormers. Ground floor constructed of brick. First floor applied timber painted in Rothschild maroon paint divide panels of pebbledash. Asymmetrical fenestration pattern to ground and first floors. Windows are timber casements. Ground floor lean-to addition to principal elevation. Carved Rothschild motif to first floor. Clearly recognisable as Rothschild estate building, due to combination of construction materials, colour of paintwork and carved Rothschild motif. Building retains majority of its external architectural details and makes a positive visual contribution to the character and interest of the street scene. Architect – William Taylor. A Local Building of Note within the Conservation Area (B1).
