Late nineteenth century Rothschild Estate building, formerly two houses, now one.
Formerly two buildings. Constructed of red brick building with shallow pitched gable roof laid in slate with brick end stakes. Unusual in the street because it extends three complete storeys. Ground floor has central open porch enclosing door and flanking window. Porch flanked by tripartite timber sashes. Two eight over eight timber sashes to first floor, and two four over eight timber sashes to second floor. Central bay of building above door remains blank except for carved Rothschild motif located between windows at second floor level. This building has been identified as being of local note because of it retains a significant proportion of its original features and architectural detailing. In addition the building is usual in the respect it extends to three full storeys and this helps to increase its visual prominence within the street scene. Architect – William Taylor.
