Description

Sixteenth or seventeenth century timber-framed thatched house in Wood End Small cottage. 16th or 17th century in appearance. The building is a curtilage listed building associated with Old Oaks. Thatched roof with decorative ridge. Central brick chimney. Walls are a mixture of red brick and brick in-filled timber framing. Timber casement windows and timber planked door. The building has a small lean to extension to the left hand side. The building is prominent in views along the street and is of considerable historic and architectural interest. It forms part of a group of important historic buildings with the adjacent cottages on Wood End. A local note building in the conservation area of Little Horwood (B1).
