Stokes 1859: red brick and blue slate with tall fairly plain chimneys and pitched roof porch. Small pane casements. Set back behind The Coach House but main elevation visible from the Wing road. Significance: Residence for manager of an early example of country house technology, part of the innovative panoply developed at Mentmore. Contributes to the scene in the approach from Wing to the village. Survives intact. The ornamental features are partly screened from the road by garden planting, fencing and gate. A local note building within the conservation area of Mentmore (B19).
