Wooden structure at Hedsor Wharf recorded in the late nineteenth century as Roman but more recent excavation and historic documents suggest a medieval date FLOORING OF OAK & BEECH TIMBER & BRUSHWOOD FOUND 2.6M DOWN DURING DIGGING FOR CESSPOOL IN 1894, & EXCAV IN 1895.
